Motivational Moments Newsletter # 4

Graduation 2001 is upon us. The nation's high schools and colleges are now or very shortly will be holding commencement exercises. A new group of young people will either enter the work force or will seek to continue their education. I dedicate this Motivational Moments to the Class of 2001.

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" Eleanor Roosevelt

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan, but also believe. ---Anatole France---

Dreams don't work unless you do. Samuel Johnson

When asked what was the most important thing for a man to become a champion, Gentleman Jim Corbett responded, "Fight one more round".

The three most important words of successful people are: Persistence, Persistence, Persistence. Don't be discouraged if your dreams don't come true immediately. God's delays are not God's denials.

In his book*, Stan Kellner talks about F.A.S.T.: The Ultimate Success Formula. FAST is an acronym--

F: Find a goal and the reason why you must achieve the goal. The reason must be compelling or perseverance will be short lived.

A: Act as if--you are unstoppable, undeniable, undefeatable. Walk and talk with the attitude of a winner.

S: See what you want--visualize, dream. Winners see what they want, losers see what they want to avoid.

T: Take action until...Stay the course, be persistent.
